Technical properties

DYNAchew consists of three electrically driven linear axes to accurately simulate the chewing movement. Two are responsible for the X-Y movement and the third for the vertical movement in the Z direction.

Validation and comparability of the test method
By defining a standard geometry for the test specimen, it is possible to compare different abutments.
This geometry enables not only force-locking movement in the cone but also a point load on the ring surface via peak force control.
Special software for user-friendly parameterisation

The adaptations to our DYNA-TCC software offer a simple way of setting the path of the XY table via the phase offset. It is also visualised where the vertical Z-axis applies the highest force to the test specimen.
Temperature control
Peltier elements installed in the sample stage ensure the cyclical temperature change. The temperature control is parameterised via the software and then runs automatically with the test.
This allows realistic temperatures to be simulated by cold or hot food and the implants to be tested accordingly.
