    DYNA-MESS offers perfectly customised machines for testing dental implants in accordance with ISO 14801.

    Technical properties

    The DYNA1dent and DYNA5dent machines offer a number of advantages over the universal testing machines normally used, which are slightly modified to meet the special requirements of dental testing:

    • Optimised adjustment to fatigue tests according to ISO 14801
    • Purely electric drive, which means: no hydraulics, pneumatics or compressed air required
    • Integrated force measurement, protected underneath the top cover
    • Displacement measurement also protected underneath the top cover
    • Little space required for installation
    • Practical visual display of the operating status (set-up, testing, end of test)
    • Test basin with practical connections for circulation and preparation of the test medium
    • Shear force-free force transmission through sliding joint
    • Sophisticated test software including user administration, sample library, very simple test parameterisation, online graphics, data recording during the entire duration of the test, test protocol
    • Embedding device for straight and/or angled implants

    Other tests can also be carried out by simply changing the test device:

    Operation

    DYNAdent is supplied with an all-in-one PC that can be operated both via a keyboard and via the touchscreen monitor.

    DYNA-EndoWear:
    Universal wear simulator
    for joint implants

    In close co-operation with universities, users and clinics, DYNA-MESS has developed the purely electrically driven wear simulator DYNA-EndoWear. A special feature of this machine is the ability to test both hip and knee implants in accordance with the DIN EN ISO 14242-1 (hip) and 14243-3 & 14243-1 (knee) standards, as well as shoulder and ankle endoprostheses.

    Technical properties

    The servo-electric axes are installed in a compact machine that requires only a small footprint. Neither compressed air nor hydraulic oil is required for operation.

    In addition to the three test stations, DYNA-EndoWear has a reference station for load-equivalent conditioning without the influence of wear.

    Another special feature is the synchronised, independent control of the individual test stations using the DYNA-CLC high-performance controller. The proven DYNA-TCC software can be used to quickly and easily parameterise the tests in accordance with the above-mentioned standards.

    One multi-component transducer measures forces and torques in all six degrees of freedom at each test station. Dynamic loads of Fx=300 N, FZ=3000 N and MZ=10 Nm are possible.

    DYNA-EndoWear is available in three different versions:

    • DYNA EndoWear 3H for tests on hip implants
    • DYNA EndoWear 3K for tests on knee implants
    • DYNA EndoWear 3HK for tests on hip and knee implants

    The implants can also be tested in media (e.g. saline solution) at the individual test stations. Each station is equipped with a leakage sensor and the temperature is set and monitored.

    Test frame

    The machine frames are designed as a 2- or 4-column construction and are characterised by maximum machine rigidity. They are therefore ideally suited for static and, in particular, dynamic tests.

    Drive types

    The most suitable drive types are used depending on the individual testing requirements of our customers. In addition to the desired nominal force and the required dynamics, aspects such as component behaviour and ambient conditions also determine the selection of the right drive.


    Performance capability

    With servo-pneumatic, servo-electric or servo-hydraulic drive concepts, we cover a wide range of requirements. The nominal forces range from 10 kN to several meganewtons.

    In addition to the machines for purely static testing, variants for low cycle fatigue tests (LCF) for test frequencies up to 10 Hz and for high cycle fatigue tests (HCF) for test frequencies up to 100 Hz are available.

    A special version for high-frequency tests is the V2H 10 HCF+ version, which enables tests with frequencies of up to 500 Hz.

    Tension Torsion version

    Tension Torsion describes a combined test specimen load from a linear drive and torsion unit.
    Two different configurations are possible:

    • Biaxial test specimen load from one side
    • Biaxial test specimen load from different sides (one axis in the crosshead and one axis in the machine base)
